The FreeStyle Libre Blood Glucose Sensor from Abbott laboratories is a medical device that is worn on the back of the upper arm to check blood glucose levels. When used with the FreeStyle Libre Glucose Reader, a hand-held reader device, it allows patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes to check their blood glucose (sugar) levels without pricking their finger.
The FreeStyle Libre Blood Glucose sensor is designed for patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This can be used by children over 4 years of age.
